Why I Built Evenstar Academy
Many English learners study for years but still struggle to use the language confidently in real life.
The materials are outdated
Many traditional coursebooks focus on fixed examples and controlled exercises. Students may complete the pages successfully but still feel unprepared for natural conversations, work situations, or everyday communication.
The learning order does not suit every student
A standard curriculum usually follows the same sequence for everyone. However, learners have different backgrounds, strengths, goals, and difficulties. Some students need more speaking support, while others need clearer grammar foundations or focused vocabulary practice.
One method does not work for everyone
Some people learn best by reading. Others need listening, speaking, repetition, visual examples, or personal feedback. A flexible learning system can respond to these differences and give each student the support they actually need.
The philosophy behind Evenstar Academy is influenced by the linguistic research of Stephen Krashen on language acquisition through meaningful exposure and comprehensible input, the social and mentor-guided learning theories of Lev Vygotsky, and the mythic storytelling and linguistic worldbuilding of J. R. R. Tolkien. Together, these ideas shape an English learning experience focused on communication, confidence, guided growth, and immersive learning rather than memorization alone.

Niloofar Salarzaei is a CELTA-certified English instructor, educational content designer, and the founder of Evenstar Academy.
With a background in Software Engineering and more than ten years of experience teaching adults in both one-to-one and group settings, she helps learners transform passive English knowledge into confident, active communication.
Her work brings together language education, learner psychology, technology, and digital learning design to create structured, practical, and human-centred English learning experiences.
At Evenstar Academy, she acts not only as a teacher, but as a mentor and guide, helping each learner move forward with clarity, confidence, and a path designed around their real goals.

Evenstar Academy is an online English learning platform designed for adults who understand English but struggle to speak with confidence in real conversations. Founded by Niloofar Salarzaei, the academy combines modern teaching methods with personalised learning systems to help students use English naturally in daily life, work, travel, and professional communication.
Unlike traditional grammar-heavy courses, Evenstar Academy focuses on practical English, speaking confidence, vocabulary building, listening comprehension, and real communication.
